“Wined Up!” and “Call my Wine Bluff”

We offer a range of themed wine tastings to make the night or event informal, successful and enjoyable whilst been informative!! The format includes

Call my Wine Bluff

This format takes place in the form of designated teams and the wines are blind tasted. You will listen to 3 descriptions of the wines from myself and 2 guest speakers(two of the guests) during the tasting there are also some wine trivia questions (10 in total) once we have tasted all of the wines. The correct descriptions will be revealed and also the trivia questions will be answered. There is a prize for the team that wins the call my bluff, and also for the team with the most trivia questions answered.

I find this night best suits an audience with varied wine knowledge and invariably the so called wine buffs are on a level playing field with the rest of the participants. It is fun yet informative and has a friendly competitive edge which I always find encouraging.

Formal Wine Tasting
 
This format is more formal and we taste the wines using the systematic approach to wine tasting I will talk of the winemakers, their particular styles and individuality. I will also talk about the importance of terrior and the differences between old and new world wines and winemaking.

The latter format is normally more applicable to those with a certain level of wine knowledge as not to go over the heads of mere novices! For more fun and interaction the first of the two is ideal and my personal favourite but the choice is yours.

The cost for either is based on your budget and prices start at £10 per head depending on the choice of wines. If you would like for me to organize a venue and refreshments/buffet then let me know and I will give you a price depending on your budget.
